STORY IN ENGLISH

Long ago, the sages of the Targam forest performed solemn festivals to attain great powers. Soon, they start thinking that they are more powerful than the gods and are starting to wreak havoc on the earth.

When Lord Shiva heard about him, he appealed to Lord Vishnu and said, “We need to do something to stop them.” Lord Vishnu agreed and made a plan.

Lord Shiva took the form of a young, beautiful sage, while Lord Vishnu disguised himself as Mohini, a beautiful young woman. Together, they went to the Taragam forest and approached the sages.

The rishis saw Mohini and immediately fell in love with her dazzling beauty. His wives were equally eyed with the young sage. After some time, the sage wakes up from his velvet and realizes that someone was playing a joke on him. It was extremely angry and decided to take revenge.

The sages started to perform the yajna. The young sage was happy with the turn of events and Tamasha stood by him to witness. Within moments, an angry lion stepped out of the fire and sprang at the young sage. But with a smile on his lips, the sage merely caught and easily crushed the tiger in mid-air. He ripped the tiger’s skin and put it around his waist.

The sages cannot believe what they saw. Nevertheless, they proceeded with their yajna, and a fiery serpent sprang from the fire. The young sage caught the serpent and furrowed it around his neck.

The sage then implores the evil demon dwarf, Mulayya, with fire. The demon accused the young sage. Lord Shiva resumed his true, and without difficulty, crushed Mullaika to death with his feet.

On realizing that the anger of the sages is not less. Lord Shiva began the dance, his magnificent performance with divine music pacified the monks, and the world stopped to watch him dance. His heartbeat became the heartbeat of the world, the heavenly water flowing from his trees exposed his body and his body roamed the entire universe. Such was the dance of Lord Shiva that became a symbol of all the natural laws of the world, beautifully expressed.
